Dana Nelson (1994)

Graduated Valedictorian in the Science and Math Program at Westinghouse High School, earned her bachelor’s degree from Clarion University School of Education. She began her teaching career at Westinghouse High School, where she continues to teach Science in the Pittsburgh Public School System. An accomplished athlete, she channels her passion for sports into coaching youth, currently coaching soccer, basketball, and cross country for Pittsburgh Public Schools. 

Ms. Nelson also volunteers as a coach in the Homewood Community Sports program and has received numerous awards, including her induction into the City League Hall of Fame in 2022, recognition as a Western All-Star in the 1994 Roundball Classic, and MVP of the Kenny Durrett All-Star Classic.
