Laura Hux Montue (1986)

Laura H. Montue, a dedicated professional and advocate, has made significant strides in her engineering career.

After graduating from Westinghouse in 1986, she earned her degree in Electrical Engineering and began her career at Peoples Natural Gas Company as an Electrical Engineer (1991-2000). She continued to excel, working as a Telecommunications Engineer at Dominion Peoples (2000-2010), and later as Manager of Telecommunications Transport at Steel River/Peoples Natural Gas Company (2010-2022). In 2022, she was named Director of Network/Telecom at Essential Utilities, a position she holds today.

A committed leader, Laura is an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Women in Energy, and Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. She dedicates time to community service through volunteering with MACAC and advocating for Autism Speaks. Her accomplishments have been recognized with the Mt. Ararat Media Service Award. 

Laura’s exceptional career and community contributions reflect her commitment to excellence and service.
